What is it?
What is Magic of Potions?
Six hands-on experiments and a slime workshop. Kids mix a potion that gives itself away by its smell, blend and bottle a perfume of their own, send a rope of foam climbing out of a bottle, print with coloured bubbles, build a lava lamp and a puppet that inflates itself – all of it guided by trained STEM facilitators. Everything they make comes home with them. Best for curious kids between 3 and 15.

Smelly Potion
Mix a potion that gives itself away by its smell, and work out which ingredient did it.
Perfume Making
Blend oils into a scent of your own and bottle it to take home – every child’s comes out different.
Snake Bubble
Blow down a cloth-covered bottle and a rope of foam bubbles climbs out, longer than the bottle it came from.
Bubble Art
Coloured bubbles popped onto paper leave the print behind – paint you cannot do with a brush.
Lava Lamp
Oil, water and a fizzing tablet, and the blobs keep rising and falling long after you stop watching.
Self-Inflating Puppet
Build a puppet that blows itself up, with nothing but a reaction doing the breathing.
Slime Making
The workshop every child asks for: stretch it, poke it, pull it apart, and find out why it behaves like neither a solid nor a liquid.
